Library Rules and Regulations

Complete Silence must be maintained in the library at all times – the library is a study zone; group discussions and phone conversations are not allowed.

I-Card & Library Card are compulsory for entry and borrowing. All users must sign the entry/exit register.

Eating, drinking, or sleeping in the library is strictly prohibited.

Seating is first-come-first-served. Reserving seats by leaving belongings unattended is not permitted.

Borrowing Privileges:

B.L.S. – 1 book (7 days)

LL.B. – 2 books (7 days)

LL.M.- 2 Books (15 days)

Books must be returned on or before the due date; late returns will attract a fine of ₹10 per day. Any lost or damaged book must be reported immediately, and the user must replace it with the same/new edition or pay twice the price along with penalty as decided by the Librarian.

Library resources must be used only for academic purposes and handled with care; defacing, marking, or damaging books, reports, or commentaries is strictly prohibited.

Reference materials (Dictionaries, Journals, Commentaries, Projects, Dissertations, Law Reports, Newspapers, Periodicals, etc.) are for library use only and cannot be issued.

E-resources (e.g., LexisNexis, Manupatra, AIR Online, etc.) must be used responsibly. Password sharing, mass downloading, or misuse may lead to suspension of access and disciplinary action.

Respectful behaviour towards library staff is mandatory. Misconduct, misuse of facilities, or damage will result in disciplinary action, including suspension of library privileges.

Moot Court and co-curricular participants may be granted extended borrowing privileges with prior approval from the Principal.

Students are not permitted in the library during lecture hours.

After the completion of the course, students must obtain a No Dues Certificate from the librarian and surrender their Library Card.

The Library Membership form is considered as proof that the user agrees to abide by all library rules and regulations.
